Scooby is why ARFF MO was started. He was the family pet of the Ward family and the first pit bull we met. He came to us as puppy. His ears had been cut off, a "cruel table top crop" called a "fighting clip". Scooby was a couch potato and lover. His favorite things were to play fetch and snuggle. Scooby has saved over 300 dogs so far, just because he was a pit bull!
Dutchess was adopted out to a person that then gave Dutchess to a homeless person that breeds pit bulls out of her car. A long story here, but we would love to have her back! Dutchess was spayed, so no puppies for her! Dutchess is missing.
Brisky went missing from his foster home in Boonville MO by the MO river bridge. We hope that Brisky found a safe home.
DEBRA HARDIN AND LUCE
Debra was a dear friend with a tender soul. She bought the mama Basset hound of our pit bull/Basset hound litter of pups to get the mama off the chain. The owner had refused to relinquish the mama dog as she could make money off of selling puppies. Debra kept going up in price until the lady relinquished her. Debra named her "Luce". Sadly, both Debra and Luce lost their battles with cancer
Pit Bull Rescue
Roxie/Vixen has been missing since November 2016. She is microchipped to ARFF MO. She has a horseshoe shaped scar on her forehead.
He was the first dog that came into ARFF MO's rescue. He ran away from home during deer hunting season and has not been seen for several years, though we hold out hope that he is safe somewhere.

It is a sad fact that puppy dogs have a shorter life span than the humans who love them. These are a few of the ARFF MO alums that have made the journey across the Rainbow Bridge. We have a few of our dogs that are missing from their homes and they are listed also.
